What now?

I am 2 weeks away from being off the prednisone and have started the sulfa drug. My stomach is gassy, in and out of the bathroom all day yesterday. I gotta say I'm a little nervous and concerned. It has been so nice to feel normal again. I'm afraid I'm going to have to go to the stronger drugs to keep this under control. Kinda scared to eat.
What do I do from here?

Hey SarahBear, yes Sulfasalazine is what they have me on right now. I had a better day yesterday, so maybe it was what I ate that bothered me.
I'm kinda scared of the other meds so really hoping this works.

Did the new symptoms seem to start when you tapered Pred or started the sulfasalazine (or was that at the same time)?

What other medications have you tried?

:hug: Hopefully it was just an off day! Also keep in mind that new medications can cause some upset stomach issues for a little while until your body gets used to them.

I still have a week and a half of prednisone and have been on the sulfasazine for 2 weeks.
I too hope it was just an off day as I am better now.
