What pouching system do you use and why?

Currently I'm in the Hollister New Image High Output pouch since it has a spout and makes cleaning easier and its designed for tender post-op patients.

I'm in convatec natura Sur-fit with Eakin seals. Very happy.

I'm getting a bunch of samples to play around but I think I'd like one with a working vent for gas and I hate those rolling sleeve and clip things. I like the spout but am told those won't work once I'm more gooey or solid. It's good to get your feedback as I play ostomy dress up lol.

The Coloplast bags have a roll and velcro system to secure it rather than a roll and clip system. The end of the bag has a plastic flap that is very easy to pop open with one hand to empty. They are fab!

Just to play devils advocate. I've used the Velcro closure system a few times with a HUGE fail. Most recently in august of 2012. In hospital for a month after surgery. Got home and fell asleep. Woke up 3 hrs later to a full bag. Into the washroom and the Velcro system let go. Home for 3 hours and I'm cleaning the bathroom floor. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Oh no!! I've not had any mishaps with the velcro itself. I've had some accidents with an ultra-full bag letting go right at the last moment of unrolling it, but not because of the velcro. That really sucks, DJW!

Eww that's unpleasant. I have had many full blown bathroom poop everywhere happen when I wore diapers that were more designed for urinary incontinence. I swear it gets everywhere!

Dansac NovaLife 2 bags with x3 base plate. I find that the dansac bags come up lower on my body than any other bag and no other bag compares!

I use a hollister one piece that's drains me with a vent and adapt stoma paste. I love it! I too plaid the ostomy dress up and this one was my favorite. I like the vent and the Velcro...the one with the hook would get stuck in my crotch :( I put a piece of tape over the vent when I shower so it doesn't clog up.

Welland flair active convex with convatec stoma paste and welland barrier wipes.
Used the clip system once with disastrous results. Mine roll up and velcro which has never given way. Just had the explosion like 2thy mentions when the bag is over full. They have a gas vent but its not very successful but I like that there is a slit in the fabric so you can see whats going on around the stoma and also the spout for emptying has a little tab to help open it. I never got the hang of the squeeze the sides ones though no one else seems to have a problem.
The large bags you are using now with the narrow emptying spout which are used for urostomys don't work once you are eating anything that is not digested properly. The spout just gets blocked.
