what pulled the plug?

I was in the hospital for a partial small bowel obstruction at the end of March (diagnosed crohn's in the terminal illium). I've been on prednisone 40mg for a month (taper starts tomorrow). I normally have 1 or 2 daily bowel movements but since I started the prednisone I get an occasional bowel movement I've been calling a "fire sale" as in everything must go, and I mean everything. It starts as solid and by the end (30 min later) is watery but it seems like it is everthing I could possibly have in me. No major cramping or pain, just like someone pulled a plug and once I'm empty I feel fine, even kind of hungry. Happened about every 3 days at first, now a week or more in between and no warning. I felt great all day, was getting ready for aerobics class and oops! Ain't going' nowhere now.

Hmmmm. Any change in diet? Are you eating normally, nothing changed? I noticed in your sig line that you started Humira on the 25th of April.

I would advice the Dr of any change in bowel movements to be honest. Especially since you just had a resection.

No resection. No change in diet and I did inform my Dr but they aren't concerned. Plus it happened before I started the Humira and after. If this is the worse I have to contend with, I'll take it. Just thought it was weird. Started the stepdown in steroids today so we'll see if that changes anything.
