What was i thinking?

So last night i went out for my birthday and got drunk. Bad idea for sure! My question is this morning my stomach is killing me and i can't stop feeling like i have to go to the bathroom even with my ileostomy. Any advice to calm the tummy troubles? I should also mention i never drink either!

I also take Pepto Bismol to calm my tummy down...and like Misty said, drink lots of water!

Firstly, happy birthday.
Yep, rehydrate, find something stodgy to eat and rest up. I rarely drank pre 'miss piggy' but like you tomorrow is my birthday and I have a couple of special bottles of champagne and I don't know if I should risk a glass or two and suffer, or not have any and suffer not getting any?

Maybe, maybe not. So undecided. If you do get a good cure please let me know just in case.

Happy Birthday tomorrow, Janette!

I hadn't had much alcohol in the year before ileostomy and was a bit leary to try after ileo. I finally did 2 weeks ago, but only had a very small glass of wine. All was well with just that little bit. I will try more next time. It's worth trying, I think!

Thanks guys! I actually just ended up eating some food that I think helped absorb the alcohol. I felt fine later on in the day. I really just drank lots of water. I didnt even have any real issues with the bag blowing up like I have heard about after drinking.

Glad your ok. Yep exploding bag scarred me, especially with gassy champagne. Drank a Gatorade zero instead.

I can categorically state that champagne doesnt inflate my bag. Quite the contrary. Pass the bottle please...ta!

I would definitely not drink too much (again)! Me anyway.

Had a couple of glasses of midori punch and ate the fruit pieces. In my hung over state my tummy was really sore, all the apple pieces were blocking me up. Unfortunately there was a lot of Kailua, vodka and milk behind it all trying to escape. Apart from going to bed at 4am and feeling really tired, I feel a lot better now its all moving.
