Hello Everyone,
I've been on Humira for a few months now and I'm not entirely sure it's going to be my wonder drug. I have good days and bad, get a horrible reaction to it (the day and a bit after I take it I'm sleeping for at least 20 hours with pain), and haven't seen any significant positives. I'm going to give it a few more months and make sure I've really tested it out, but I'm curious... what's next? Has anyone else been on it, have it failed, and moved onto a different drug that worked for them? Do tell.
Cheers,
L.

Have you tried Remicade, or Cimzia? What about Tysabri? There are places to go from Humira! Have you tried 6mp or Imuran before? Even LDN could be a possibility, maybe.

I do hope you get to feeling better!

Yes as mentioned there are other drugs (everyone is different so there's a whole slew of drugs out there) and mainly the combination of drugs can definitely help. Hope you get some relief soon. Keep us posted. :)

Perhaps they can give you something for pain for the day after... I don't react to it at all, so I can't imagine, but doctors are so conservative when it comes to pain - maybe ask for something, and see if that helps?

Did the doctor test you to see if Humira would be effective? I think they have a test for that now - tells them which drug will work best on you, or maybe which ones won't work.

Thank you all for giving me some hope that this isn't my last resort. I'm going to keep at it for another 3 months and see what else he has planned for me.
Good health to all!

And no, there was no test for me to see if Humira was ok. The only test has been to try it out.

I am going to ask for something for the pain because sometimes it gets too much and I'm tired of being strong. I need to function.
