It's been a long while since I posted something, but I have a few questions and also some happy news to share.
First the happy news: I passed my first year at uni with all my credits, even though no one expected it because of me being pretty sick a lot of the time.
I also moved, again, and now I'm living about 15 steps away from my uni. This will help me so much because I won't have to get up early even for my first class.
Then the best news: My calprotectin has been under 50 for a while now, I'm on pentasa (4g) and azathioprine (75mg). It still seems surreal to me, mostly because I still have a lot of pain sometimes, and I'm sick and tired and I'm dealing with a lot of gas. This is where my questions come in: Is it possible/normal to have such low infection rates, but still feel like that? Another problem that I have is that my joints hurt a lot. My knees have gone from pain after walking a lot to pain whenever I walk or sit or pull my knees up when lying down. What do you advice for this? (I'm going to email my doctor anyway, but it's always nice to know some experiences)
Lastly, I have been feeling the need to have someone to talk to who understands me and the whole Crohn's thing. Not just to talk about Crohn's but to have some actual friends. I've searched for a while without success. So if anyone needs/wants a friend too, let me know.

Hi. I was on Pentasa for a short time but they quickly switched me to Lialda. Also, I wonder if they might want to put you on a biologic to complement the azathioprine. Ask your doctor. I would consider seeing a rheumatologist concerning your joints. Let us know how you are.

Thanks for the tips! The problem is that my doctors look at the numbers and they see a low calprotectine and that should mean that I'm feeling great. I'm considering to go to a dietist who is specialised in finding out which foods cause trouble and which foods don't.
