Hey all!

When is this pregnancy remission bliss stuff suppose to kick in?? I'll be 12 weeks pregnant at the end of the week but still having bad stomach pains, cramping, diarrhea and vomiting. I was hoping I'd be one to do really great during pregnancy as I have never actually achieved remission before.

I saw the GI doc yesterday but he didn't seem to be able to tell me much.

When did any of you mommas out there begin to feel better during pregnancy?

Sorry you are not feeling well. I hope you are feeling better soon.

With #1 I wasnt diagnosed yet but had issues. I was good the entire pregnancy. With #2 I had to go on entocort for about 10 wks. After that I was good.

The stats on remission with pregnancy are that 1/3 get better, 1/3 get worse, and 1/3 see no change in symptoms.

I know! I was just curious about when they went into remission when they noticed they were feeling better. Too bad it can't be 100% go into remission!

Did you have a bigger baby with the steroid? My GI doc said that we could use one if it came down to it, but its not quite ideal because the baby may be larger than normal.

He was 7lb 4 oz so pretty normal size. I did get ultrasounds more frequently to measure. They actually thought he was going to be small. The OB wasnt happy about my going on entocort but she didnt know a lot about it. My GI said it was important for me and baby that I remain healthy.

Wanted to add my first son was 6 lb 11 oz and was 3 wks early so he probably would have been bigger than #2 and i wasnt on any medication then.
