Hi, my fiance has Crohns and has had it for about 8 years now. He hasn't had an episode in along time. (Or so he says) But, today when I had gotten home, he has been in the bathroom since. He had told me it's been happening earlier today so by now its been 7 hours. But, he has had severe diarreha. I'm afraid he'll get dehydrated. So, when is should we be concern enough to take a trip to the E.R?

The majority of the time diarrhea isn't cause to head to the ER as long as that's his only real symptom. But yes, keep him well hydrated. Here are symptoms of dehydration which, if severe, can warrant a trip to the ER.
However, I would give his GI a call and see how your boyfriend should proceed from here.
