When you're not in a flare up do you still use the restroom a lot?

I'm wondering. I've been in a flare for 12 months almost :/ I can't imagine having to go random times so much for the rest of my life! Then you know.....those good days when your still flared up but then out of nowhere your night can be worse than the day. This is a very unpredictable disease :(

I've been in a flare for 4 years. I've been told that the urgency and frequency to use the bathroom should go away when in remission. I'm still waiting...and still frantically searching for a toilet at least 5 times a day...

All of the above, yes. Its kinda difficult to concentrate on anything when you need the toilet so bad...medically this is called urgency and its worth it to discuss it with your GI...its a symptom that is equally as annoying and complicating as the d that follows it.

I think I am probably in remission, and still have frequent movements. They are more controlled, definitely, but I can still easily have 3 movements before I head out for work in the morning. The rest of the day is pretty much normal. From my understanding, it can vary from each person to the next. The other thing - I have found that doing things that distract me can help me. On days that I went fishing during flares, I would have no problem spending 8 hours on the water without difficulty, but the day before and after could have me going every hour.

I think I am technically in a sort of remission at the moment, although I still get stomach pains all the time though :( But as to the frequency, when I was flaring I would be going upwards of 7 times a day and now I usually go once or twice, which is normal. So I think if you are in remission you should have between 1-3 movements a day maximum (although you always have to make exceptions for different individuals). The shape and form of the movement can also be a good indicator. The sicker I am, the more watery my movements get, the better I am the more shape they have. Gross I know, but unfortunately these are the things we have to keep an eye on.

I find that even on days I go twice or three times if I leave my house I go more, if I get stressed I go more, and if I eat I go. Even if I go 2 times I still have nausea, cramps, intestinal spasms, gas and bloating nonstop, fatigue, sometimes weakness, random body aches, join aches, peeling skin in my mouth, random rashes and sores and more :(
