Who has tried cannibus oil with success?

jackal1/1/2015 I am new to this forum. I was officially diagnosed with Crohns in 1999 and underwent a bowel resection. Started Imurin and 36 Remicade infusions. In 2005 I was diagnosed with Lymphoma and all meds were stopped permanently. I have had diarrhea every day for over 30 years, never in remission.However, just lately I've started having Crohns pain everyday which I've never had before. I feel the only option remaining is to try cannibus oil but I would have to move. Any success stories out there? Did you grow your own? I have a lot of other health issues and immune problems, thyroid cancer, diabetes, no parathyroids, stage 3 kidney disease, genetic blood clot disease, 25 operations and 23 meds a day.:ylol:

Hi jackal,

Hard to get anyone to come out and talk about this subject. For one thing 99.999% are convinced BIG pharma is the answer, trust your GI. My GI has no clue on the subject either. I am the research subject after all. I just tell him what I am doing, he does not object. But I do know he does not offer this as help to his patient either. Which is stupid.
The other is very few have this experience. I have not tried ingesting oil, but I do vap everyday. Not sure if there is a difference in the treatment of Crohn's(CD) however. I guess i should try so I can give you a answer from my experience. I can say it helps me out a whole lot, living with CD, esp now that i am on mtx. I do it all, it is easy these days. In Canada they are considering legislation for legalization, which is a big relief. There is tons of info out there on how to obtain, grow etc or we can take it off line. Investigate Rick Simpson oil. We can buy seeds very easily in Ontario. There are special strains with hi CBD content, those are the ones you want to try first. It is the THC that gets you high.

It is difficult to think you are suffering with active CD and have no treatment available to you at all. And the med community can not even offer you some oil to try out to see if it will relieve some of your suffering. So much for compassion.
Have you tried cholestyramine resin for diarrhea? I use a brand called Olystr. It has reduced me down to about one BM a day, which is a big relief.
