I don't really have a team. I just go by players I like. I like Eli Manning - so the Giants. Also, like Roethlisberger (I didn't spell that right) so Steelers. I think the coach for the Broncos is a cutie so I like them too :)

Just don't let him corner you in the bathroom Kelly!!!

I used to love the Dallas Cowboys in the 70's before Jim Jones did his hatchet job on them. He should have allowed Landry to retire gracefully. I'll never forgive him for what he did. Hell, Landry was the Dallas Cowboys. He'd won the SB twice in the 70's and did it with class. OK, the 80's roll along and it's all about payroll and chasing the money trail. Landry would've never play that game. It's been all downhill for the whole NFL since Jones bought the Cowboys.

Now, I'm an Auburn Tigers fan!! War Eagle!!!!

Booooooooo, for all you foreigners out there, Jeff is talkin' about the wrong Tigers!!!!

And you live in Alabama too. Shame on you!!!

my interest in football or rugby only goes as far as getting a slight thrill from seeing men in shorts running round a field. sorry. :D

Not really a fan of football. Yes, I like to play the game itself, but I can't sit down in front of a TV and watch it for hours at a time.

Eh, maybe it's because I'm a nerd.

Lol I was hoping someone would say that! '70's football was a good era, it's strange to see how football has evolved from such a running game to such advanced passing formations that it makes it appear the talent is lacking in defensive backs. Way back when, you didn't really need a great quarterback to win a superbowl, but now it seems like you need a Tom Brady or a Drew Brees! (That's right, I'm not gonna say Peyton Manning! Why? Go look at his stats and then look at Tom Terrific's! :ytongue: )

I don't particularly care for any sports, but I will watch a Green Bay Packers game if it's on. Now that Favre is no longer our problem, it's kind of funny to see him retire and un-retire and change teams and just generally cause trouble.

^^^^^See. now this is why we don't start threads like this........... Bahahahahahaha

Anyone think the Cowboys have a viable chance of a decent run this season?

I hope so, as I doubt Manchester United will do flip all this season. (the community shield doesn't count!)

I absolutely can't wait for the season to start and am such a fanatic that i actually watch the draft & DVR all preseason games!! I am a die-hard New York Jets fan ---J....E.....T....S... JETS!!!! JETS!!!! JETS!!!!

As far as
Brady & the Manning brothers --- I was a huge fan of Peyton when he was in college, but then he stayed another year to avoid being drafted by the JETS-leaving me little choice but to heckle him for the length of his career.

I despise the Pats and have for many years, dating all of the way back to the days of the Jetkiller -Steve Grogan. Having them win so much and to do so by any means (even cheating) only makes it that much easier. Seeing Tommy Boy with his long hair and all American smile just makes me want to buy & mail him a skirt.
Eli- who says it is ok for a FOOTBALL player to be in a tv commercial licking OREO'S with his big brother?

Im sorry dlzoidberg....but the Cowboys are the worst team in the league! Maybe there little baby at QB wont screw up this year but he most likely will because the Eagles D is going to crush him.

Well, maybe the second worst, as we just beat the Bengals. Also, not willing to believe that we are worse than Washington, who are my brothers favorite.

Anybody else as excited as I am for football to be starting soon!??

Who is your team??

GO CHARGERS!!! :D

As a fellow San Diegan I have to pull for the Chargers, though I grew up a Bills fan.

Had season tickets last year, skipping this year, just to much money. Also more of a baseball fan. Have had a ticket package for the Padres for about five years now.

I don't know, I wouldn't put anything on the preseason games. Coaches aren't really playing to win, per-se. They're mostly conditioning players and seeing which players work with their schemes and which ones just don't make the cut. I think the Cowpukes... Erm Cowboys! Are a lot better than most teams. If I had to make a guess as to who is gonna make the playoffs the Saints, Cowboys, Viqueens (Oops, there I go again! :D), Vikings, Patriots, Colts, and the Chargers are definitely at the top of the list for me.

Hey Mark, wasn't Jim Jones the cult leader with the kool aid solution back in the 70's? Just sayin'.....:D

Im a patriots fan cause i have family living in boston and anytime they would visit when i was a kid i was always given loads of pats gear as a present :).

Always will love the Bears. Die hard fan, rain or shine. DA BEARS!!

I will always hate how we were robbed in Feb 2007 to Katie's guys because of Rex Grossman. I still go with the theory that he was paid off to throw interceptions because he was so God awful in the second half, it was beyond a few bad passes. Those "passes" went RIGHT to the Colts, like literally every time, B-line passes from his hands to theirs. Douche. We were winning just before half time came (Hester's opening kickoff touchdown was a first in SB history), but low and behold, he had to go blind or traitor in the second half. As a result, I can only hate on the Colts for winning, not cheating. :)

All in all, basketball is by far the most interesting and exciting sport to me, and I actually played that one a helluva lot more, and still love playing it...favorite form of cardio, too...and for that, we have the Maestro, Air Jordan: DA BULLS! I don't care if he doesn't play anymore or have much to do with Chicago-- Jordan is still the Bulls, just like George Washington is still the USA.

PS: LeBron is a fool and he's a punk for his charades and gimmicks. Go on Heat, win in June, only Miami will care, the rest of the nation despises the drama and soap opera that unraveled.
