Who Smokes With a Vaporizer?

Hey everyone.

Everyone knows smoking in general is horrible for you BUT is it true that if you use a vaporizer to smoke pot then it cuts out almost all the bad side effects of smoking? Since its just vapor?

Im currently on prednisone. I used to smoke pot quite often before i got sick with crohns 5 months ago and i had to go to the hospital a month ago because i had some fluid in my right lung and had a hard time breathing. Which made me stop smoking joints right away.

My friend invested in a vaporizer tho and i was just wondering what you guys think? With your personal experiance would it have any effect on my lungs and cause my breathing to get bad again?

My shortness of breath just went away about a week ago. So im not sure what to do. and Pot definitly helps with some of my symptoms.

I haven't tried this, but maybe you should lay off smoking for a while. It sounds like you had a rough time. Try cakes, muffins, cookies etc.

lol yeah i know the last thing i should be doing is smoking but i figure im going to anyways so im just looking to see who has any personal info on this subject? and cakes and stuff takes time and i really dont know my tollerance when consuming it whole..

yeah I smoke with a vap all the time, I have a volcano or the easier way is just get a regular class bong, make sure its all glass and get a heat gun ($35) and just hold the heat gun approx 3-5 in away from the bowl and inhale to your hearts content lol I find that vaping get me way more stoned though so I only do it when I'm planning on sleep in the next few hours

alright thanks stelger. I tried smoking out a vaporizer lastnight and got so high i fell asleep! The prednisone didnt keep me awake till 4am in the morning i actually past out at 12!

yeah it gets serious but sometimes it has adverse affects and can cause you to be awake for hours and hours, but it doesn't happen to often

i love vaporizing but sometimes i wonder if i am getting all of the thc... i've used the volcano a few times and have been impressed with it's efficiency, but it is soooo expensive!

i do use a glass bong that i clean daily, and fill with cold water and ice. this is my preferred method and seems to be the easiest on my lungs, more so than pipes or joints. ingestibles are great, too, but it takes some experimenting to get the 'dose' right, and it takes a long time to take effect (1-2 hrs). sometimes if i am not feeling well, the last thing i want to do is eat.

ps - a neat tip for cleaning your glass pieces (bongs, pipes, bowls, etc)... use 99% rubbing alcohol and a handful of epsom salts... works just as good as 'formula 420' or any other marketed bong-cleaner and much much cheaper.

I have a buddy who blows glass and he makes the coolest bong etc so I usually get a new one vs cleaning cause its annoying lol but yeah I got my Volcano from my friend he got a job that had random DT so he couldn't smoke anymore and sold it to me for $100 usd

yeah also you can use the vaporized weed to make hash oil , be careful whilst making it though cause your pretty much holding a bomb at one point lol

I also recommend making "pot pills" -- they're very tame but you can control the dosage really easily.

We made these using Coconut Oil, and they were fantastic.
Discrete, easy to carry around, easy to take....1 pill would relieve minor pain with almost no mental side effects. 2 pills would get rid of most pain, but you'd begin to feel stoned. 3 pills and you feel great, but i wouldn't go outside. On the plus side, however, Anime begins to make sense....

yeah for sure. Ill look into making them but i doubt ill get around to it lol. Who knows. Im still considering buying a vaporizer when i get some money. I got cut off of full time and currently get one shift a week.. not paying for anything so. im in big need of a job

I use a heat gun with a volcano valve set. total set up cost me <$200 for basically the exact same thing, except my version is healthier because the heat gun has a ceramic heating element instead of an aluminum element like the 'cano.

I love vaping. I even cook with the leftovers.

my problem now is finding the mighty herb. my jar has been empty for a while now.
