The guy that did my bowel perf last year was Mr B Box at North Tyneside Hospital. Apparently he is very well thought of in the UK for laparoscopic surgery and trains other surgeons in this area.
I found him very supportive and very amenable to answer all my questions especially as it was an emergency situation and I was petrified having never been in hospital before. He even popped in to see me on the weekend when he wasn't meant to be on.
