Im seriousley struggling to accept why people with IBD would not take any medication for it. I asked my doctor about it and he said "if you had heart disease... would you stop taking your heart tablets?" and i said obviousley not and he says "well theres the reason you should never stop".

So can someone please let me know? im not taking a dig, because i know meds are not symptomless but im genuinly entrigued why you dont feel the need to take the meds?

It comes down to a person's right to choose.

It can be through their own research, their own experiences, their own beliefs that cause them to choose a different path to what you or I may take.

I know people who choose not to take medication for IBD, for epilepsy, for type 2 diabetes, for heart disease and on it goes. It is just the way it is Nico, you and I may find it difficult to understand why someone would choose not to take medication but at the end of the day that is their choice, you respect it and move on.
