I wondered if anyone is working and claiming ESA. I am not well enough to work 16hrs and have been told I can do permitted work and claim esa from today. Well we will see. I have been diagnosed with IBD and still have post viral fatigue and cant walk far or stand for a long time, also still have to rush to the loo now and then. I wonder how they treat people with IBd at the benefits office and will i have to go for a medical. Any advice please. I have heard the will still fail people even with this illness.

Hi Lara,
I had a medical for ESA recently. I saw a nurse who was very sympathetic. She just took notes about my condition and she asked specific questions about what I can and can't do. I was told to tell them about the worst days so they get the picture.
