I just need someone to talk about whats happening lately...

I started on Entocort 9 mg and Imurel 3 weeks ago, and I started feeling good about a week into the medication. I've heard that the meds take longer time to work, so it might have been a coincidence. A week ago I started having awful stomach cramps, but I was expecting them because of my period, wich sometimes have similar cramps as my Chrons. But this time I knew it was coming. The cramps were so much worse then other times, and I had to stay home from work the same day. Not only did I have cramps, but a lot of D. This is also normal when you have your period, allthough it was more then usual. Well.. the period only lasted 3 days (as normal for me), and normally I would start feeling better after the second day.

But I still have awfull cramps and I've had to stay at work for longer then I really have to because I haven't been able to take the train home as I am struggling with a feeling of D and a bit D sometimes. Just now I got a bit scared because the cramps started after I ate the rest of my luch pack, and took a Calcium supplement. And I also felt a bit nausiated, wich I normally don't feel. Now I have constant cramps, just like I have when I have my period. Normally my Crohns is cramps that come and go. But the stomach is really sore and I dread going home from work as I don't know if I'll have D on my way home... I just hate this decease!!! :depressed:

I just wanted to say I'm sorry and I understand. You really do feel victimized and totally at the mercy of CD. I hate that. I hope you start feeling better soon, both physically and emotionally.

I would def suggest you call your doctor if the D doesn't ease up soon. Maybe you need to up the Entocort or go to something stronger.

I hope you feel better soon!!

Paxifaxi,
How are you doing? I am hoping you are doing better and were able to resume your activities.

Hello all! Thank you for your wonderfull support!

Actually I've had a few days of feeling better now. I managed not to get any sick days from work because of it, but at monday I had to take an Immodium pill to be able to go to a doctor appointment (not cause of my Crohns). I don't know if its the Immodium that got me back to "normal", or if I would have gotten better without it, but right now I only have to go to the toilet once a day, wich is a blessing.

Now I've been on my medication for a month, so I'm hoping to see some reprovement soon! Maybe this is it! I'm gonna try to be positive at least. :)
