Hi my name is Paul. I have had crohn's for 13 years now. I have only been to a doctor twice. When I was about 13 these symptoms started. As time went on I just stayed away from foods that made me sick.
oo: so as time went on the symptoms kinda seemed to go away. But only because I was regulating what I ate and drank. Well I joined the army and during basic training and A school you don't get to choose in what you eat. You eat what they give you. Well that's when my symptoms came back full force. I did really well in basic training. Even made it on the special forces list. But my stomach started giving me problems. I tried to hide it but ended up getting sent to the med clinic to get checked out. Long story short they said I would be getting an honorable medical discharge because they couldn't have me on a special diet in a war zone. So that was that. I have been a working in the air conditioning and heating trade since. Still hard but I follow my own diet. Some days I'm good while others are horrible. Makes it hard at work. Crawling through 135° attics, lifting heavy equipment, long distance trips out of town etc.
My "diet"
no caffeine
no spicy foods
no citric acid
no greesy foods
No hot beverages
no out of the ordinary foods (if I have not tryed it before I tend to stay away)
