Help Support Crohn's Disease Forum:

Hey there tots!

I took a short course (about 2 weeks) of it for what we assumed was SIBO. It made me feel better for a bit, that's for sure. Helped with bloating in particular. I guess it's less systemic than other antibiotics -- it permeates the gut less, acting mostly on the bacteria inside the small and large intestine. I would suggest trying to replace the "bad bacteria" with some of the good stuff, perhaps by taking a probiotic, or just eating plain Greek yogurt or drinking kefir (which is what I did). I know it's worked pretty well for some folks, in that it can help push them in the right direction.

Thanks JTDM

I did start the medication despite the pharmacist! My Dr didn't really explain it very well
either! I really like to understand these things!!

I saw my Dr yesterday, he gave me the choice of just staying on Enotocort and seeing what happens or switching to Humira and possibly staying entocort at either 6 or 9 mgs.
He also asked me my objective in treatment.

I am kinda lost right now! :sign0085:
