Yeast infections and 6MP

Ok. So, I've been on 6MP since September 2011. Among other lovely side effects, I have had 7 vaginal yeast infections since starting it. Before this, I had gotten 3 yeast infections in my entire life. Anyone else have this correlation between immunosuppressants and yeast infections?

Your immune system is highly suppressed. It happens to a lot of females when they go on immune suppressing drugs because the drugs upset the balance of everything in your body. Take a daily probiotic like basic asadophalis pills(something my gyno suggested) and it'll help balance things again. Also if you use a vaginal ring or an intrauterin device as birth control the yeast will stick to those and that paired with the immune suppressant allows for quick reproduction of yeast.

Yes, I had 3 yeast infections pretty much in a row when I first started on immunosupressants...Your body will adjust.
I also take probiotic daily which helps balance out the yeast in our bodies.

Already taking the strongest probiotic on the market...since before starting the 6mp. Anyone ever hear of combatting yeast infections by diet? I've heard of lessening sugar intake to give it less to "feed" on, but so far its not helping...
