Hungry and nauseated at the same time?

I don't know how to delete this post. I just saw another thread very similar to this. It helped with good suggestions. Thanks.

    Things to eat??

Wow, I should probably read before I post. I just posted something about being hungry and nauseous at the same time. I guess I can try to eat some of these things you guys have mentioned. I bought some Boost type drinks, but now I have to fight my daughter for them. LOL. Thanks for the tips...

Hungry and nauseated at the same time?

How is it that I can be starving and nauseous at the same time. I feel like I want to eat, but then I take a bit and feel like vomiting. I'm so tired of this!

    My story about poop

Welcome. I'm still fairly new. (To the disease and to the forum). I will graduate in 3 weeks from nursing school!!! The stress hasn't helped with the flares, but I think things may start to cool down now that I'm done with all my tests and lectures. Just doing my preceptorship now. Not...

    Rock Bottom

Just a suggestion for your constipation. I take Psyllium capsules (it comes in powder too that you can put in water or juice or whatever you drink). I prefer the pills. It works for both constipation AND diarrhea, believe it or not. It absorbs extra fluids for the diarrhea end of it, and...

    Hello - a blue newbie

Wow. I'm so sorry you are having trouble with both your gut and your doc. That was highly unprofessional of him/her to say that to you!! Everyone has given great advise. I agree with a second opinion if you can find one. You need a doc that will actually listen to you. You know your own...

    Advice needed again.. black poop

I agree. Call your doctor. It may be something simple like an increase of iron in your diet, or like dingbat said... it could be bleeding. It is very hard to tell sometimes.

I'm proud of myself today because......

I'm proud of myself today... because I tried to go to clinical yesterday, pooped in the hospital toilet, started crying from the pain, told my instructor I have Crohn's, and she didn't get upset! I got to come home and can make up my clinical day next week. I feel much better today since I was...

    Citrate of Magnesia.... How long?

When I had to drink that stuff, I had D for a couple of days. By the end of the second day I was feeling better. Everyone is different though. Just make sure you are drinking lot of water to replace what you are losing. I agree with Sharon, eat light foods until the D is over. You don't...

    My doctor visit: start 6MP

I'm on 6 mp right now. It does cause extreme fatigue and 'brain fog' for me. I just make sure to take it at night a few hours before bed. Only been on it for about a week, so I can't speak to it's effectiveness yet. Good Luck to you!!!

    Hypothetical Questions

My thoughts... other transplants require lifelong immuno-suppressants so that their immune system doesn't attack the new organ. So, it would seem to me that we would still be in the same predicament. Our immune system would still attack the new colon. I think, at least. I have been know to...

    Support Systems are Critical

Wow, I'm in tears now. Of course, I kind of have been all day. I think I'm still getting use to all of this and the meds aren't helping. I have been dizzy and groggy all day. My hubby came home and I told him how I was feeling. He sat down and played on the xbox and asked me to cook...

    Surgeries?

surgeries? OK. I'm still new to the official Crohn's world. I can read all the text books and medical statistics, but they are based off a euphoric world. I keep seeing people comment about resections and other various surgeries. I have even seen a gentleman with 'No surgeries........ yet.'...

    Road to Relief?

You have probably had your surgery and in recovery by now. Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. I'm newly diagnosed so I don't have advice, but I am praying for you and hope you recover quickly. As a nursing student... the only advice I can give is to ambulate early on (walk to the door...

    Newly diagnosed

Thank you for all of your responses. I am feeling much more at ease now. I did call my doc this morning and asked if he could write a letter to my school saying that I am oked for patient care. He said it wasn't a problem and I can probably pick up the letter tomorrow or Friday. I took all...

    Still Lost NO ANSWERS STILL!!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear that your daughter is going through all of this. To help with the confusion over impaction but still having diarrhea... this is possible. Bare with me while I try to explain. Sometimes, the stool can become hard and get 'stuck' in a portion of the colon. When the...

    Newly diagnosed

Hello all. I'm a 32 yo wife and mother of 2. I have had stomach problems all of my life. I had a colonoscopy when I was about 21 and they found and removed polyps. I was young and didn't pay attention to the type they were. At that time, the doctor said I had IBS and that I should eat more...
