Hello! As I've posted before my husband is set yo start Humira soon (whenever his doc office and insurance figure it out 🙄) and I've gone down the rabbit hole of worry about side effects and what ifs from the medicine. He's been on mercaptopurine for almost 5 years and that's always worried me...

My husband has taken l-Glutamine for years and I think it deff helps (won't hurt) and just recently awarded Quercetin but he takes a lot of other supplements plus mercaptopurine and is getting ready to switch to Humira

Hello All, Just looking for some support I guess. My husband has Crohns, has for 6 years. He's done pretty well but needs his meds switched to Humira (on mercaptopurine) due to strictures and a few ulcers. All labs are great, feels great etc. But I've already been a little edgy due to that...

Ugh Ugh I'm so sorry! That's so frustrating. Its so annoying that insurance can have such control over the medicine your doc chooses for you 🙄

Oh ok I understand! My husband has "Clinical remission" as his doc calls it. So great labs and zero symptoms but ulcers found and a couple strictures on his scope 🤦‍♀️ so switching meds we go as well as some diet changes. I would like my hubs to go full Paleo or SCD but he isn't there yet he says

Oh ok. What's your typical symptoms? My husband has had non symptomatic active disease so I feel a little confused 🤦‍♀️

Just curious, how long have you been in remission and what worked to get you there? Also do you consider it remission when your symptoms are gone or only if you have clean scopes?

Thanks for the feedback! His GI is not considering Remicade right now only Humira and I asked about Stelara but still haven't heard back 😕 I've heard its best to start with a quicker acting biologic than Stelara especially since there's stricters and some ulcers. Do you have any opinions on...

Haha! Well thank you for your feedback!! I really REALLY appreciate it. His doc told him no dietary restrictions except be careful with raw veggies. Idk how I feel about that but trying to trust. My hubs did cut out gluten (bloating) and red meat as well as dairy except aged cheeses. If you...
