    Resection for terminal ileum?

So glad to hear that it helped so many of you! It's not a sure thing for me. Scope next week. And like I said, I feel good. But if this high dose of Humira is only delaying the inevitable, I don't want to resist if she brings it up at appt.

    Resection for terminal ileum?

Thank you edentenley ! I didn't realize it could be laprascopic. There goes my tummy tuck, huh ;) How were you feeling before the surgery? Pretty bad off? My abscesses have healed as far as I know. I know I still have inflammation bc of thr LRQ pain. I don't want to fight surgery if continued...

    Resection for terminal ileum?

I've been feeling okay but still get LRQ pain at times. I have an appointment in May and scope end of April. If my GI starts talking surgery, what can I expect from resection if my main involvement is terminal ileum? She's said in the past that we need to get into total remission or consider...

Is it okay to take my Humira when I have the stomach virus?

Your dr will probably want you to hold off, definitely ask!

New to Forum, Could Use Some Advice

This forum helped me feel so much better about taking meds. I started on Imuran but quickly progressed to Humira. Remember that inflammation in general puts you at higher risk for colon cancer. And on Aza, you blood counts will be monitored closely so they intend to catch issues before lymphoma...

I have problems with energy, anyone else?

It was well-intended. And I don't think it has a laxative effect if taken at a lower dosage at first, it doesn't for me anyway. I thought it might either help empty out of help with energy if absorbed without laxative effect. So glad there are larger bags available but from what you said, maybe...

Does anyone get upper abdominal pain with terminal ileum crohns?

I have terminal ileum Crohn's, LRQ pain including the hard lump when it's bad and the stomach pain I get is kind of in the middle of my abdomen. I really thought it was acid reflux or stomach-related before I was diagnosed. Definitely get some clarification and a treatment plan!

I missed a call from the nurse to schedule my next. Hoping the hotel goes well for you, I might try it too!

    Supplementing Magnesium has been fantastic!

Crohns08 I put it in a 24oz water bottle and drink slowly through the afternoon. Would that help? I forgot to mention that Epsomsalt baths are what got me excited about magnesium. If you haven't tried a bath with Epsom salts, you must! Lots of people use topical mag with great results.

I have problems with energy, anyone else?

Sharon, this sucks!! I'm going to project my issues on to you which is sometimes not helpful. But I started taking magnesium and it's awesome! It's a laxative. Would that help you empty out before nighttime? Can you talk to nursing care about a larger bag for sleep? I wish I could relate...

    Supplementing Magnesium has been fantastic!

I've been doing a lot of reading on adrenal fatigue as I tend to get sick with chills and aches which has even led to LRQ pain (which I've been free of) after working out. I've gained too much weight and feel like I need more exercise! I started taking Natural Calm (sometimes the...

Handling Pain like a Superhero - or possibly your own worst villain

I'm thankful my new dr seems to be familiar with this type of pain issue. She can elicit a guarding response in my LRQ like a pro. I think I got progressively worse over such a long period of time that I lost perspective. I've had to really get in better touch with my own body since diagnosis.

Another almost hilariously bad episode from my life

A hotel would be great! I was going to suggest camping out next to the bathroom at a coffee shop or bookstore. It would help the time pass, anyway.

Is there a legit MTHFR study going on?

I'm looking in to genetic testing and would prefer my results contribute to research if possible. Is there a study out there someone could refer me to?

I have problems with energy, anyone else?

Definitely get all your vitamin levels checked. There's probably more than one you're deficient in. I started dabbling with magnesium and it's done wonders for my mood and adrenal system in general. I can tell if I've gone overboard bc I start to get D whereas I usually have to avoid...

    Elevated temperature

That's frustrating that they're making you wait for GI symptoms. Glad the other stuff has improved.
