What are you eating right now?

I'm not eating anything right now, but I ate a whole bowl of popcorn this weekend, hulls and all, and NO terrible consequences whatsoever. Woo! I won't be eating popcorn on a daily basis anytime soon, but it's nice to know I can have it every once in a while!

    Those who have kids...

I've had some unexplainable weird blips when it comes to my period. I might start a day early and then have a really light period and then maybe nothing until the next day. Usually when that happens I end up having discharge longer than normal, so the total time of my entire period is longer...

    Humira Club Support Group

I've been seeing more Humira commercials lately. Now I'm seeing them advertised specifically for treating psoriasis! Pretty cool :)

Went to see a new gyno yesterday as my medical group changed and I was required to change docs. Arrived at 5 pm for an appointment at 5:15 pm. Didn't get called in to a room until 5:45 pm. Doctor didn't come in until 6:05 pm and was out by 6:10 pm. We talked for about 5 min., which consisted of...

Did some searching on my speciality pharmacy's website and it says their new packaging guarantees cooling for 36 hour. So, I think I'm good. ;) Got home today and my Humira had been delivered. Still cold! :)

    Humira Club Support Group

Had a quick question for Humira delivery...how long is the package supposed to stay cold if left unopened? I just got a new job and won't be at home anymore when they deliver my package. The UPS sorting facility is right down the street from us, so I typically get my package somewhere between...

    Neurological Issues?

I've only ever had one migraine in my entire life too. It was when I was in middle school. It happened at the end of the day in my last class period. I got the aura too and I thought at first I was passing out or something. I remembering my mom picking me up and I told her my vision was going...

    Neurological Issues?

Rayne - No need to apologize! I think the thread I read that on wasn't devoted to having neurological problems, but someone's thread talking about the progress of their disease. And he went to his neurologist for a non-Crohn's reason and ended up finding out that they can be related. I didn't...

Yipes, Cat. You are right. Your doc dropped the ball on not taking your urgent matter seriously. I think agree with you and Jeannette now about looking for a new doc ASAP! Holy moly, J! Your last doc sounds awful. Stage 1 colon cancer?? Sheesh. So glad you found the right one. Thanks for the...

Aww, Cat...could you at least look into a new GI and "test drive" one before dumping your old one? I think being able to stay in touch with your GI is just as important as treatment. You never know....maybe your dream could be a reality! :)

Dunno what to do (financial, fiance should quit job etc)

Holy moly. You're right. It IS as if he is made of glass. He needs to stop injuring himself! I can understand how difficult it is to be limited by not having a car. My sister has struggled a lot with that. :( I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I'll try to think of some more job...

    Neurological Issues?

I haven't experienced any recent neurological problems, but I grew up with a mild form of neurological seizures. My body would keep moving and doing things, but my awareness would black out, so I would have no memory of what happened. They only lasted for about 10 seconds with no convulsions...

Thanks Jeannette! I'm super antsy about when/if I'll get a call today. He said he'd have a decision reached by Monday (forgetting it was 4th of July), so I'm expecting to hear something today, I hope. I feel like I can't do anything because I don't want to miss my phone ringing! I have no idea...

Hey SarahAnne! Glad things are better for you. This may be obvious advice to you already, but it really helped me to remove all skins and seeds from my veggies/fruits and overcook my veggies. That way, I'm still getting some fiber, but the parts that tend to produce more gas have been...

Dunno what to do (financial, fiance should quit job etc)

Hmm...if he likes animals, maybe he could look into some veterinarians and see if they need kennel assistants or something. Or a groomer. Petsmart even? Any local hospitals/restaurants offer valet services? He could be a valet. I'm trying to think outside of the box, since I'm sure you've...

Dunno what to do (financial, fiance should quit job etc)

What about looking into one of those advocacy programs on the ccfa.org website? Some of them don't just cater to people with Crohn's, but with other medical problems too. Could be worth a look into at least. I don't know how it all works out, but what about disability? Is that an option? I...

    Update on Andrea

I'm sorry I haven't been on the forum as much and missed this thread. Glad to hear the surgery went well. There's not much I can say, so I will just pray! :) Andrea, you are a fighter! :)
