    Tylenol / acetaminophen question

I occasionally have headaches. Sometimes rubbing an analgesic creme on the forehead, temples, back neck or behind the ears helps. Back when I had a shaved head, I'd rub my whole scalp with it. Vicks, Tiger Balm, Ben-Gay, Rub A535. All seemed to be helpful.

    Symptoms of total obstruction?

I don't wish to scare you, but intestinal blockage may very well be one of the most intensely painful experiences a human can endure. If you think you might be blocked go to the hospital emergency immediately.

    Symptoms of total obstruction?

    Can a dietician help?

My GI suggested I consult a dietician, but it's probably because he was passing the buck. He's prescribed me all the diarrhea treatments available. I'm well aware of what I consume. My problem is not a poor diet, nor trigger foods.

Another big Canadian Crohn's fundraiser: Heel and Wheel-a-thon

Okay, I'm not ashamed to be a relentless pimp. June means various Heel and Wheel-a-thons across Canada. Bike, run, skateboard, walk. http://www.heelnwheelathon.ca/EN/index.html Help out if you can.

    Moist butt wipes

They're also good for "freshening up" in between farts. Keeps "bum dust" from irritating the skin.

    I am so itchy!

Same deal here. Comes and goes. I've been able to rule out all the usual causes. Gold Bond lotion and hydrocortizone creme for the nasty spots.

What are you eating right now?

Montreal-style Smoked Meat and Swiss on multi-grain. An orange and fresh strawberries. Apple & Quinoa salad. A V-8 juice.

    Moist butt wipes

Also: It doesn't pay to get the no-name or "house" brands. I find the Cottonelle wipes are the best. The others rip too easy.

    Can we go Med Free?

As for "treating" your Crohn's via natural means, it's probably a good idea to adopt as healthy a diet/lifestyle as possible -- alongside your prescribed medication(s). See where they that takes you first.

    Devastated

Thanks everyone... I'm upset too because I had told my relatives --urged them -- to get checked out two years ago.

    Devastated

Just found out my uncle has been diagnosed with colon cancer. Sadly it seems to run in the family. My father passed away two years ago from colon cancer. It saddens me because I saw firsthand how it ravaged my father. My uncle is in Germany and I can't go see him right now.

Having tons of complications after surgery on the 20th. Warning- long.

Wow. I have had a post-surgical abscess as well, and had to be re-admitted. Nasty.

Great to know there are others out there

I've done very well since I drastically curtailed my refined wheat consumption. I'm not Celiac, so I'm able to tolerate other grains. I use a multi-grain (spelt/kamut/millet/oat/hemp) for sandwiches and toast, and have eliminated pasta from my diet (rice instead).

Stools are a very pale grey color

Oh, it's possible. Just don't expect the pot to be full of gold!
