    Welcome to the club. Remicade is not so bad. been on it for a long time and it's making this plague bearable. Only side effect i have is tiredness that lasts about 24 hours.     I had my illeostomy reversed after 6 months. Not sure what I would do after so many years. I guess it all comes down to how you are feeling. me personally I hated having my 2 bags and prefer pain to getting another one. So i would go for it, but that's just me.

    I had never heard that remicade could be given in a faster way for crohn's patients. That in itself is particular. maybe somebody on the site can confirm if this is normal. Also getting pre-meds Tylenol and benadryl is not an obligation but in your case i think it's something they should give...

    If it does get worse please call your doctor, these side effects can get very bad. however this being said they are quite rare. good luck.

    If the doctors do not know what you have indeed there should be test. after that they can decide the course of actions. When i go see my GI i bring a note book and i have listed all my questions. this way i do not forget anything. good luck to you.

    Yes i get d 90% of the time but when it does get harder it does take an effort but what a great feeling. i know it's weird but passing hard poop is quite a sensation for me. probably because it's so rare,.

    I would also add insure. when i have D i slow my eating to a maximum and drink protein shakes in the form of ensure. this why i am calming my gut and i am not hungry.

    I had the two stage operation myself when I had my bags. The second bags was like you said to give my gut time to heal. I was not disappointed. it work great. Good luck to you.

    This Dang plague is garbage. We are always in pain for something or another. Believe me dear you are not alone. It will get better at some point to give up and keep talking to us. the only thing that makes enduring this disease is being able to talk about it. hang in there...

    Welcome to the forum, I've been on remi a long while and it did take up to my fourth infusion before it started to really work. Give it some time. Keep us posted.

    Welcome to these boards glad you are with us, I've been using Remi for 19 months now and Ive never had any side effect whatsoever. But then again everybody is different. I'm sure other people will be able to give you more input. good luck.

    Saw my doctor last week and he changed my treatment to 8 weeks again. I also tore a ligament in my 4th right finger last Saturday and was operated Monday to fix it. so now i am also handicapped. just my luck...
