Prednisone: The Good and the Bad

I've always said to many, Prednisone is a deadly drug...that I would not recommend it to any one, but in all fairness it does help in controlling our Disease. Long term side effects are the worst. I had blurred vision, hearing loss, added facial hair, bulging eyes, dizziness, headaches, severe...

    Ileostomy Information

Athough this is really a good article, I have to disagree with some of his comments. Everybody's body is different, and to say what to expect after surgery is really not fair. These are the facts of his surgery, I know for myself..half of what he says here, did not pertain to me. However, I...

    Scar feels tight any advice

I think it's healing as well Donna, or it may just be that the scar tissue is bothering you a bit since it is still fresh. Your healing nicely as you say..so thats real good. I had the same problem at the tip of my scar, they had more then a few staples there, so it took a little longer to heal...

This is better then great Mike. Absolutely so fantastic. I donate every year since I work for CCFC..along with my HealnWheel a thons, and our bowling for Crohns tournaments. I think next year I will get my pledge form online as well. Way to go Sparrow.

    Does weather affect Crohn's Disease

I agree Donna, I was at my worst in the summer, which is strange because some of us would flare up in the fall/spring.

What annoys you most about having IBD?

It's not taboo Sonya in my opinion, these people are just ignorant and don't want to take the time to learn about our Disease, just like many other Diseases. Fear of the unknown, as I say. What annoyed me most growing up with this Disease, was lack of sleep due to constant bathroom meetings. I...
