    Concerns post Seton Placement!

Gauze replaced several times day. Sitz baths or hot compresses help draw out the puss. I take antibiotics as well, augmentin but Flagyl, cipro is preferred if you can tolerate them. Diet helps as can bone broths. Takes time. Have had mine for a year now and next week I will be. Seeing my GI...

Comprehensive DNA stool test results, Please help!!

You are right about western med not recognizing candida. Diet is the best way to control it. At least try to avoid sugar and alcohol Probiotics including good yogurt are extremely helpful as are garlic supplements and pau d'arco tea. If you can tolerate yogurt get an organic or Russian/Bulgarian...

Just got back from the doctor and need help

Sulfasalazine is the former drug similar to llialda prescribed before these expensive 5asa drugs were developed it is generic and affordable. Distinguishing between UC and CD is very difficult and any diagnosis is subject to change unless disease is found in the small intestine or you develop...

Will USA insurance company covers the Crohn's Disease treatment for H1B visa?

Yes pre existing covered. Biologics covered but they may want you to try other treatments first. Get the highest level plan, gold I think as it has the lowest deductible and better copays.

    Long term usage of opiates

Big boss you are absolutely correct that you should not have to suffer Where are you? I think you need 2 things right away One a sympathetic doctor, could be a primary care or internal med to help with the scrips. Second you need a good GI to evaluate your disease, scopes, blood test etc. and...

    Long term usage of opiates

I have taken Norco for the crohns pain for quite a while now I have to take it for back pain. I just take 250 mg 2 x day. My doctors are pretty good about it esp as I am old. Paregoric ( tincture of opium) was a mainstay in IBD treatment as recently as 40 years ago so there is a lot of history...

    Fistula advice needed!!

Remicade would be your best go to drug. Flagyl and cipro can work as well SCD/PALEO type Diet helps. They can also put in a seton to keep it draining and prevent abscesses which is what causes all the pain.
