    Remicade, blurred vision?

hi all, Has anyone had blurred vision while on Remicade? My infusions started about a year ago & I noticed my eyes were getting worse. I think I was on the road for glasses anyway, and I had to start wearing them in January. I still have random issues from time to time, just focusing my eyes...

    MR Enterography / Barium

It definitely was a clearish barium, not as heavy as other barium contrasts I've had before. The D started within a few hours. Other than the lack of whiteness I'm used to seeing with barium, I didn't notice any difference. But having read your post, maybe it is moving it's way through.

    MR Enterography / Barium

Thanks for the response Essieluv, I continue with my water chugging. Jennifer, definitely the loose/watery variety. The MRE was done to get a better look at a stricture. I'm worried that it must be significant to cause a delay like this. I've never had this issue with barium before. In the...

    MR Enterography / Barium

I had the MRE yesterday & have been going to the bathroom, but no barium/ whiteness is present. Concerning since I drank 1350 mLs of the contrast around lunch yesterday. Could the glycogen from the procedure still be slowing the process down? I have definitely been drinking loads of water. I...

How long does it typically take barium to pass through post procedure? At what point do you need to start getting concerned?

    Humira - Side Effects *Newbie!*

Hi Keith, I've been on Humira for a few months now and have serious fatigue issues. It has helped with other issues I was having... abscess, fistula, weight loss all that fun stuff. But it feels like it takes such an effort just to make it through the day. I think a lot of folks have your...

Keep messing up my Humira shot :(

Hannah, we followed your advice (I showed your post to my husband) and it worked! Such a relief to remove the pen and not see any liquid sitting on the surface of my skin. yay! Thanks so much. :)

    Humira is a miracle :)

That's fantastic! Very happy to hear that Humira is working for you. :) I'm a newbie to it as well, just "celebrated" with a one month shot yesterday.

Keep messing up my Humira shot :(

Hannah, I'm late to the initial post, but I had the same thing happen to me two weeks ago. it was my second loading dose (the 2 shot round) and my husband gave me both shots. the first was fine, the second spilled everywhere once he lifted the pen. Here we are, two weeks later. I'm definitely...

On Humira, but it feels like prednisone

I appreciate the response and support. :) Hopefully the Humira will be kinder to you.

On Humira, but it feels like prednisone

I've just started starting Humira... my second injection(s) are this week, but I've already noticed mood swings and hunger. It really reminds me of the craziness and starvation I feel when I'm on steroids. Has anyone else struggled with this? Hopefully the mood swings are just because I get...

New to Humira, looking for success stories.

G, that is so great that Humira helped you and that it did so quickly. I hope that upping the dose brings you relief again. Thank you for posting. It makes me hopeful to see that Humira really does help people. :)

New to Humira, looking for success stories.

Jane, thank you for responding. I'm glad that Humira helped with your fistulas. How long were you on it before you had to stop using it? Scaryman, thank you for the words of encouragement. Fatigue just seemed to hit me out of nowhere yesterday as well. I'm back at work today, so here's hoping...

New to Humira, looking for success stories.

Hi all, I'm in a nasty flare and am dealing with a fistula (laid open by surgery) which is not healing. My GI doctor and my colorectal surgeon have campaigned hard enough for Humira that I finally bit the bullet and started it. I had my loading doses at the doctor's office yesterday...

    Tough Holiday season.

I'm a month removed from my procedure and it doesn't feel like I've had much improvement. It has been very slow to heal. I'm only (only, ha!) on entocort and Imuran. My wound is still open and drains daily, though it doesn't seem as angry as it used to be. I am still not on Humira. My doctor's...

    Happy freakin new year

Teresa, I'm on a slow mend. I finish up with cipro tomorrow (yay) and will hopefully start Humira this week. I think that the cipro has helped to heal the wound a lot, I definitely have less pain with it. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I appreciate it. :)

    Tough Holiday season.

I went to my 2 week follow up with the CR on Friday. I finished my 14 day script of Flagyl 2 days before and was feeling a bit better stomach-wise. (I have such a tough time with flagyl... I'm not convinced it isn't rat poison) I had to wait almost 2 hours to see the doctor! I was not in the...

Just checking in on you, flower girl. Hope that you're having a better day today.

    Happy freakin new year

The CR laid open two fistulas. It is helping, definitely an improvement from having an abscess and all the joys that they bring. I've been taking 750 mg of Flagyl which is unfun. Tomorrow is my last dose, thank goodness. I'm not convinced that stuff isn't rat poison. I'm still sore and it burns...

    Happy freakin new year

I'm right there with you, flower girl. I had fistula surgery on the 19th and not super happy about it. I didn't think it would cure me or anything, but it would be nice to be able to walk and sit like a normal person. Definitely didn't want to add to my Crohn's problems. Here's hoping we both...
