Similar situation here, had my stoma reversal and all was going well for two weeks felt great.. Then I had pains in the same area which put me in the hospital for another week and I was sent home with a drain. Just waiting for my initial reversal surgery to heal before they remove the gallbladder.

I have a stoma plex guard I'd say it helps a little but will not prevent noise all together. For me it was certain foods to avoid on my public outings.

I just had mine 3 days ago.. No diet assigned until I can pass gas which seems to be building up. The surgery pain itself did not seem as bad as the ileostomy itself but I was in bad shape going into that one

My only advice is the thought of having / dealing with a stoma was 120x worse than actually have one once comfortable with your appliance etc. I'm in the process of reversal 3 days after surgery so far it sucks but hopefully in the end it all works out, waiting to pass that gas!

Thanks for the reply.. How long would you say it took for the sizing to go back towards normal? I have avoided hard to digest foods since I had the surgery but recently had some pizza with shrooms on it I'm assuming that could be the culprit seeing as they don't digest too well.

No problems with mine coming loose after a shower, I blow dry the base pretty good after just to be sure.

Thanks for replies, I had a small pack of gummy snacks.. All went ok but I was sure to chew them really good. Ill give the marshmallows a try too, and ill pass on the candy corn, never was a fan of that kind lol hope the pain passed, and all is good.

I had leaking problems after a couple days, after switching to a convex flange helped me, now I get 5ish days without problems. I also use the paste and adhesive rings. Not sure on the output.. If its really liquidly maybe try eating some applesauce throughout the day. Will help thicken it up.
