    Liver Enzyme Spike

That is likely causing the spike, you are right Ron, should have clarified. Will this mean a new drug after my body finally getting used to this one? ugh this disease is very frustrating

    Liver Enzyme Spike

Just got off the phone with my IBD nurse, apparently my bloodwork from last week showed a jump in my enzymes. I have to go for another blood test tomorrow, but what could cause this? Does this mean I may have to switch drugs? Or can this happen and nothing to worry about? Only thing that changed...

    Taking Marijuana

If you use cannabis and aren't aware of the side effects, yes this could happen. But, the good thing? You can't overdose on cannabis. It's important as a first time user, to take your time and don't over do it. Just use a little at a time until you help the pain. You don't have to be completely...

    Upset

A sigmoid scope only sees the left side (decending colon). A colonoscopy sees the whole large bowel and a little ways into the small bowel. My crohns is in my terminal ileum (where the large bowel and small bowel intersect) would have never been seen with a sigmoid scope. GI can't diagnose IBS...

    Ayurvedic treatment

Hi Vinu, to answer some of your questions: You should be able to lead a normal life, if you continue to take your medicines. Children are definitely possible, it is the woman who will have more problems if pregnant with the disease. Medicines can affect the unborn baby Your disease will not...

    Post-Abortion Flare (Please Don't Judge!)

Sending you many hugs! I personally have no experience with an abortion and crohns, but like was mentioned before, hormones can stir up alot of things. Also pregnancy can cause a ramp up of the immune system, to protect baby of course, and can cause us crohnies to have a flare. Hope you feel...

    Itchy eye lids

Yes Mandy, I get super dry itchy eyes every so often. I had thought it was allergies, until I got my CD diagnosis, and now I'm not so sure. Especially when it would flare up when not near any possible allergens (cats, mold, etc) would just start up while I was at home

    Remicade, 2nd infusion feeling lousy

I would say finish your loading doses and have your first infusion after and see where you are. Sometimes it takes awhile to kick in fully, my infusion nurse said it could take 6-8 weeks from first infusion to notice a difference. I am sorry you are feeling like crap. Remicade has given me my...

    They say it's IBS...

I was also diagnosed with IBS-D for while. Every other test came back negative, except the CT scans. I had 2 done in a 6 month period, one showed 10 cms inflamed, the second one 25 cms (6 months later). Every other test has lied for me, that is stool samples, blood work, scopes with biopsys...

    Coffee while on Cortisone

I have drank coffee the whole time during my treatment. Been on Entocort (Budenoside) for 2 months now, didn't affect my treatment at all. I wouldn't be able to function without coffee. Hubby works half the time away from home, so I am by myself with a kid 5 days at a time. SO I need to be able...

    Medical ID bracelet

Not so much the crohn's itself, but the meds that you may/may not be on. They can interact with other meds. Or, like in the case of my hospital, will give NSAIDS as first pain management meds, and we shouldn't have them because they can cause us to flare

    Help with interpretation please x

Hi Beck, Yes you can have Crohn's with mild/no symptoms. There are quite a few here on the board that had no idea they had any disease until they end up on the surgery table and are having a resection. FC test is a pretty good indicator, but of course there are other tests to be run to see...

Hey CatLady Popsicles are ok, as long as there is no red, blue or purple dyes. They don't have to be see through, but can't have chunks of fruit or seed in them :) Mango ones should be fine
