    Anyone play Minecraft?

I couldn't post images until my post count was high enough, but here is an example for Lord of the Rings fans. It's really just a big sandbox game right now. I would only recommend it if you loved playing with LEGO blocks as a kid (or now!).

Thanks for the welcome, acg101! http://www.netwellness.org/question.cfm/45996.htm Apparently prolonged use of prednisone can cause diabetes. My doctor mentioned it as a possible side effect if I stayed on it too long.

Hi, pasobuff! How has Remicade been working for you? Do you feel like crap right before a transfusion? What's your transfusion schedule? Ah that's good you haven't had any side effects. I'm on prednisone, Pentasa, and just starting Remicade. I definitely notice prednisone side effects, and I...

    Last chance humira

@effdee Did your doctor say if the Remicade immunity can wear off or anything? I've heard stories of patients who stop using Remicade for a couple of months and get back on and it puts them back in remission, almost like they have to cycle it.

Thanks, Jer's Girl! @kslade I assume you'll be taking azathioprine in tandem with Remicade? Have you heard of any side-effects with azathioprine like with prednisone, or is it pretty safe? I figure my GI doc might put me on another immunosuppressant as well.

Ah, I see. I'm not sure if Pentasa is doing anything for me either, but I assume prednisone is because I don't have any issues until I step down the dose. But yeah, the acne with prednisone is horrible! I can't wait until I taper off of it completely... plus that bitter taste. Kind of funny the...

Hi hunniebunn88, Your signature says you're currently only on Remicade and you were once on Pentasa-- how is that working for you? Do you have any flare ups, is it really touch-and-go? Right now I'm on Pentasa, prednisone, and Remicade at the same time, but I'm wondering if I'll be able to...

    Anyone play Minecraft?

If you get some time, definitely check it out. You can find a torrent of it somewhere but you can't log in to servers so it's just offline singleplayer. There's also a creative version which is online and really fun. If you enjoy it, it's only €9.99 (about $13 USD) and the developer constantly...

    Anyone play Minecraft?

It's a fun game where you build a world with what amount to basic LEGO blocks and can fight some zombies. It's really fun multiplayer and pretty cool singleplayer. You can check it out at minecraft.net (I can't post links yet) if you've never heard of it.

Hi Astra101, effdee, and Nancy Lee! @effdee and Nancy Lee Yeah I'm passively looking into it-- still kind of getting over the initial diagnosis. Since there's no family history of Crohn's and I was diagnosed four years or so after I stopped the treatment, there might be a chance it's due to that.

    Jobs you have held....

-Busboy at a Japanese steakhouse -Retail selling electronics -Website developer (current) which lets me work from home when I have a flare up. Plus I only need my laptop.

Top 3 Favourite Fast Food Places

#1. Five Guys. It's super greasy but it doesn't really bother me. I get the bacon cheeseburger with fries and a hot dog. #2. Sarku Japanese. It's this place in the mall that serves teriyaki chicken and rice. It's so freakin' good and totally safe. #3. Wendy's. I get two junior bacon...

    Hi from me

Hi Tom! It's nice to have a job that's pretty flexible with hours, huh? I know I would be in a much worse situation if my job didn't let me work from home every now and then.

Thanks Squadinho and Dustykat! @Squadinho It's totally the worst. The ER doc and I thought it was prednisone withdrawal at first but then the exact same symptoms popped up when I dropped from 40mg to 30mg and was stressed out, so my GI doc told me to switch. @Dustykat Yeah he's a really cool...

    21 year old, just diagnosed.

Thought I would drop in and share my brief story. I'm a 21 year old who was just diagnosed with Crohn's in August. At first my doc and I thought it was IBS, but there was some swelling in my right lower quadrant (and my appendix was removed three years ago) so we did a CT to see what it could...

    Remicade Club Support Group

Typing this in my hospital bed right after my week 0 infusion. I was admitted because of abdominal pain and a fever and my GI doc insisted that we step up the medication (was on prednisone/pentasa but every time I tried to get off of the prednisone, I flared up). No allergic reaction, so far no...
