I was in remission for 20 years. Had surgery in 1990. Symptom free till may 2010. Had surgery again dec 30. Recovering now. Hopefully this puts me in remission for 20 more years.

Thanks... Got epidural, ng tube and catheter out today. Feel so much better. On fluids. Bowels starting to work. Hopefully get food tomorrow and iv probably coming out. Going home Sunday or Monday. Good news :-)

Thanks for all your support :p Well the surgery went good. Acording to the surgeon. Was about 3 hr open small bowel resection. Was a mess inside I guess. Had adhesions, scar tissue, abscesses to clean up. He said there was no sign of crohns when he closed. Hopin for the best like last time...

Going in for a open small bowel resection tomorrow morning. Starting to get nervous, anxious. I can't stop thinking about it. Trying to stay calm. Just wishing for a smooth operation.

Had my GI appt last week to go over my latest ct scan. Meds arent working, still inflamed. So he recommends surgery as my best bet. It's in my ileum and looks like 6" needs to be removed. It's been 20 years since the last surgery. Was in remission since then, with no meds for 19 years. May...

Thanks man. I've learned more in the last couple weeks than in the last 22 years. The meds after the surgery I don't really remember. I know I was on flagyl for a while. I was on one more for about 10 months or so, then taken off everything. Was nice while it lasted.

Was in remission for 20 years on no meds. Small flares a couple times. Until may of this year. It came back. Two hospital stays since and on meds.
