Just to say thank you to everyone on this tread for your replies and to let you know that I finally discovered what was wrong with my daughter. She is now under a rheumatologist who identified that she has a 'Periodic Fever Syndrome' and has put her on a medication that completely controls her...

    Crohn's in Children

Thanks to everyone for your replies. It has been really helpful to understand the range of symptoms. DMS - Interesting about the blood tests - I already know that my daughter has raised CRP as she had bloods taken during a fever. The levels surprised her GP a bit, but all her other blood...

    Crohn's in Children

Hi silvermander, thank you for replying. You were diagnosed so young? My daughter started having tummy problems 2 years ago - I hadn't realised it had been going on so long until our family doctor pointed it out, because it's been on and off. She only started with the fevers in earnest in...

I don't know what to quite make of it all at the moment, but alarm bells are going off in my head and I think I...

    Milk, tummy aches and fever?

Thanks Cat-a-Tonic. We might try it. I'm not sure if and how my daughter's sensitivity fit's into this problems with her tummy and the fevers, but it's interesting that milk intolerance doesn't seem to be too uncommon with IBD. Good luck with your treatment for IBD.

    Milk, tummy aches and fever?

Thanks dingbat ~ we're in the UK too! We might go fully dairy free again to see if her tummy settles, but it makes no sense to me that she gets these frequent fevers with the tummy ache episodes. The tummy ache is always focused on her right hand side, which is why the doctor suspected an...
