    Stoma and medication

Mine were white, as the coating and presumably some of the pill had been released.

    Stoma and medication

Hope the timing change works for you. When I had them pass, the pill was usually the same shape but at various sizes depending on time passed (formed but soft). Occasionally I see residue in smaller bits not with form that I suspect is some but also know not all of the pill material is the drug.

    Stoma and medication

Ileostomy here and just started Rinvoq in the past few weeks. I have a fast track and was passing pills (or ghost pills) but have had more luck switching to taking at night and rarely see a trace and, even if so, hardly as voluminous or pill-shaped. Might be worth a shot (consult with your doc...

    Morning/Daytime Breakfast Diet Advice

My go-to breakfast that is a little of a take on what you do is an english muffin toasted with half with a little butter and jam and the other with a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese. It's not too heavy but gives me enough to get going. I also am a fan of the Muscle Milk pre-mixed shakes and often...

CDC approved booster of COVID 19 for immunosp

Got my results of antibody draw this week (taken after third dose) and went from 43 after first dose to 176 after third (timing didn't have me tested in between). Seemed crazy high but glad that others are in the same range (since it's off their charts). Will be interested what they learn longer...

    Covid vaccine 3rd dose?

Just had my Prevent Study draw today and had my third dose on September 1. First draw had me in the highest segment of the histogram so hoping for the same this time. Having to have surgery (and travel for it) later this month so want all the protection science can give!

Combo therapy and covid vaccine, anyone had a serology test confirming immunization?

I enrolled in one of the studies looking at IBD patients and vaccine response. Had my second dose in early April and have had one antibody level test so far...showed antibodies and was in the highest range among those they tested. I'm on Stelara (every 4 weeks) and 150mg Azathioprine and early...

    Stem Cell Therapy

sounds like we may be in the same trial! I have not been unblinded yet but did have a setback after my first treatment that kind of took me back to where I was before. Wishing you all the best and hoping for healing for both of us.

Fistula flares with bleeding and hardness off and on, when to head to an ER?

So sorry you are going through this. Fellow fistulizing CD patient here (who just had issues and an EUA to assess/resolve). If you have this type of Crohn's, I definitely recommend building a relationship with a CRS you trust who can help you assess and work with your GI doc. I have been on...

    Stem Cell Therapy

As of last week, yes! Sadly the first trial did not result in healing for me. However, I just began a new trial (slightly different approach with stem cells) last week at Cleveland Clinic. I am currently in the period where participants don't know if they received placebo or the treatment (last...

    Stelara and Neuropathy

Thanks for the replies...and glad it resolved. I have been on Flagyl on and off over the years for longer stretches but this definitely is the longest stretch. Hoping to feel toes again soon...and not backslide with my CD.

    Stelara and Neuropathy

Timely that I see this, as I am on Stelara currently (every 4 weeks), in addition to Azathioprine (150mg/day), Cipro (2x day) and Flagyl (2x day). A few weeks ago I noticed numbness in my right toe and to a lesser extent in my left. Last week it had noticeably spread to my other toes. I reached...

    Combination therapy: stelara & imuran?

You can develop antibodies to Stelara (per manufacturer, <3% do). Have your Stelara levels been checked by chance? I think there may only be a lab or two that does this but it may be helpful to know how your body is metabolizing it. I think once it isn’t working, adding Imuran or another may...

Anyone have experience with 80mg Humira weekly?

I am trying to remember exactly when I switched to Humira, but at least four years (with frequency increasing over time). Stelara has been okay for me so far (I'm on it every 4 weeks)...also on Imuran and ongoing antibiotics (fistulizing Crohn's).

Anyone have experience with 80mg Humira weekly?

As an adult, I maxed out on 80mg of Humira a week. I didn't have any adverse events but I did start sliding, so I was switched to Stelara.

    LIFT procedure/advancement flap/Crohn's - head's a bit of a mess!

I did not have success healing that fistula with the flap, but I currently have a (temp) ileostomy and had that done prior to a repair with a gracilis (muscle) flap. That procedure was a success (much bigger surgery though)...however, I developed a RVF subsequent to that. I am still diverted as...

    Combination therapy: stelara & imuran?

I am on this mix - Stelara every 4 weeks and 150mg of Azathioprine/Imuran daily (as well as Cipro/Flagyl). My disease is primarily fistulizing and, while it hasn't resulted in healing, it has kept inflammation in check. When we added Imuran, I started at 50mg/day and we upped it over time. The...

    LIFT procedure/advancement flap/Crohn's - head's a bit of a mess!

Taca - For me, I had the flap before I was diverted, but first noticed pressure/swelling accompanying the post-surgical discharge. Eventually, I had bowel contents that started to pass through (as it did through fistula before). I was diligent about hygiene, sitz baths, etc. but I knew pretty...

    LIFT procedure/advancement flap/Crohn's - head's a bit of a mess!

I had an advancement flap procedure for a larger fistula but it failed, sadly. Depending on the location and size of your tract, you may want to inquire about a procedure that uses more solid tissue to fill the space, like the gracilis muscle. After more superficial treatments, I had success in...
