    Diagnosed in July 2011

Hey Alexis, welcome! I don't have experience with that med, either, but Prednisone has been a huge relief in times of crisis for me in the past also. It's a lot that you're dealing with and you seem to be really level headed and doing your best to take care of yourself. It's very admirable and...

    Hunger....

Also, I was on TPN for over a month after my first hospitalization. I had a tube in my arm and wore a back pack of "baby formula" every day with a pump that would feed me automatically. I didn't even have anything going in my mouth because I had ulcers in my mouth and esophagus -- so I totally...

    Hunger....

Do you have a plan of what to eat when you come off the liquids and super soft foods? Sometimes when we come off these liquid things we just want to run out and eat pizza (or bacon in your case) because we haven't had it so long, but when we do that we risk hurting our insides and wasting all...

Welcome, Ducky. I'm new to the forum here also and what I can tell you from only being here 1 day and reading posts from others is that there's an incredible amount of support and wisdom within these pages. Wonderful stuff. Food diaries are a great place to start when we have flare ups and are...

Newbie, Thank God for this forum!

Hi friend! Welcome to the forum. (hugs!) When I first had my colonoscopy it was the same - so ulcerated that I went on TPN for a month or so also. So glad you're enjoying sobriety and have found the forum to get support and answers for some of your questions. I can't speak to the meds/addiction...

Have had symptoms for years, no D

Welcome to the forum, friend. (hugs!) I'll just speak quickly to the fever, big mouth ulcers, and red eyes... I had a flare up that involved those things, in addition to ulcers/sores on the side of my arm and I went to an immunologist who explored the possibility of me having Bechet's. I was...

    New, In pain, Scared

I know it can be so scary in the beginning. Like what's happening to me and my body!? And when is this going to stop!? (((hugs))) I'm so glad you have your wonderful husband to love and support you and care for you. And as much as it's no fun to get a diagnosis of Crohn's or something similar...

I don't have time to be sick...

I've found that fresh cucumber celery juice helps when I'm constipated. Not too much at once if you're not used to how your body reacts to it, but if I'm backed up and drink some in the morning I'm usually ready to go within an hour. For the juicer: 1 bunch of organic celery. 2 organic cucumbers.
