I thought it might be a good idea to find out how long everyone has had CD and to be able to keep track easier. So I decided to start the 20 Year Club. If someone would start a 5-9 year club, a 10- 19 year club and a 30and above club feel free.

Who all have been DX with Crohns for 20-29 yrs

I've been DX since Feb. 1986. It will be 24 yrs next month.

I forgot! Ever since my birthday I'm now in the 20 year and up club. :p It's been 20 years! I was actually diagnosed over the summer so the timing is right that I join this club now. :)

April 1986, at the age of 12; but like many others, I had symptoms for many years before that; pretty much a nasty gut right from birth.

diagnosed 21 years ago, symptoms for about 25 years.
crohns was unknown back then, had to explain it to everyone, now every one knows some one with crohns.

Aww, I can't join this club, but way to go for dealing with it all this time and providing much needed guidance, wisdom, and support to all us "newbies." ;)

I can't join this club either...what about those of us with less than 5 years? Do we not get the gold watch or the pension? lol

My dx was 2005 - so I've just managed to scrape into the category 5-9 club !!!!!
but I've had symptoms for 15-20 years

I've had Crohn's for just over 20 years now. Symptoms began in the fall of '89 and officially diagnosed in the spring of 1990.. my senior year of high school.

I was not diagnosed until Sept. 2005, but I had my first scan 30 years ago because of problems. My first colonoscopy, which showed inflamation but not diagnosed as Crohn's, was 15 years ago.

I was diagnosed in 1993 20 years of this is just plain crazy...not counting since I was 15 wicked pains and flu symptoms. I have hit every bathroom within a 200 mile radius ;)

Hi! I suppose I belong in this group. Diagnosed with Crohn's in '88 at 10 years old. I was told the 90's would be the "decade of the cure"!

I'm almost there, 19 years this October. There have been several changes for Crohn's treatment since early '90s.

Is it bad that I'm in this club and I'm only 22? -Diagnosed at just 2 years old. What's a normal BM feel like? lol

Dear me ... it has been 20 years.
Gosh I've been lucky.
Such amazing changes have happened in treatments in that time.
Really looking forward to cracking the 50 year club though!! That will be awesome!!

Glad we have a group for the 20+ I just passed my milestone this year at age 27 how fitting that less than a month later I required my first surgery for it! Fingers crossed for another 20+ before I need anything this bad, thanks everyone these groups help me out a lot!
