Hi there, I was looking for a bit of advice. My daughter has had rectal bleeding since march, she had a colonoscopy 3 weeks ago and they found lesions and pale areas, they took biopsies and we get the results tomorrow. Has anyone had any experiences of anything similar? Thanks!

We haven't had to deal much with rectal bleeding with my daughter, thankfully. I'm glad you will get results soon. The blasted waiting is so hard! I hope it isn't anything serious, but something that can be fixed quickly. We're here if you have questions or need help after your visit today.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear of your little one's tummy troubles. The only bleeding my son had was due to an anal fissure that was a result of constipation. Bleeding can be a symptom of IBD, but I hope your biopsies reveal something less serious. Does your child's bleeding occur with a bowel movement, or randomly? Does she suffer from constipation or diarrhea? Are there any other symptoms, ie belly pain, mouth lesions, fever, etc.?
