Morining everybody
i woke up with alot of rebound pain in my LRQ and some nausea this morning. i have been flaring for about 2 weeks now. i taught i was getting better after the GI gave me the dreaded predisone since Thursday:stinks: i was feeling better within 2 days the D stopped within 2 days and now here comes more pain. i am about to lose my job for missing so much this year i already have 1 FMLA in place for migraines and now put one in for my Crohn's but i only get 12 weeks a year and have use about 1 and half months of that already with the migraines.

Update
just got back from er with the pain and bloody D again. had ct scan of the belly found no severe inflamation or blockages or anything according to the er doc. had a round of morphine which helped my pain, got to go to GI again for follow up soon

Hey, afman: Sending best wishes for the Pred to kick in soon so that you can get some needed relief. Hang in there re. the job. There are others on the forum who are well versed in your rights and protections in the US as an individual with a chronic illness -- I really hope that you don't lose your job.

thanks for the info. i called the GI doctor today it will probally be next week before she can see me again. she is going out of town this weekend and book solid. i feel pretty well today just seems like i am going to be in the bathroom alot today with D

Hi afman.

Hopefully you will get some more answers soon.... I think being in pain and NOT knowing why is worse than being in pain and KNOWING why.....

As for the CT scan, I agree with Dusty...they often don't show much, but do help to rule out obvious things such as blockages.... hopefully someone will set you up with some kind of scope or barium follow through to find where the problem is.

For now, take it easy, try to rest, and hopefully things will work out with the job.

i just got home from the ER. no D, lots of LRQ though, they gave me IV pain meds. CT says I have thickening on left and right side - but left side is worse. No obstruction either. But why does it hurt, constantly? It radiated thru my inner thigh sometimes and into my lower back too. If you figure out what is going on in you, please repost! I am curious, plus my GI is refusing to see me until Sept!!! WTF!!

just got back from er again today another round of morphine through iv but this time with a round of iv steriods and started cipro and flagyl.
