Today I told my research adviser about my condition and he said that when I get my new work laptop (which he had already ordered for me) that I should just have IT set up remote connect so that I can just work from home and in bed whenever I need to! 
He said I should "do whatever I need to do" and another research collaborator said that if I need anything at all from them I should just ask.
I was so worried about them being critical of me missing a lot of work and they were far more supportive than I would have imagined. It was a huge weight off my shoulders to know I can do almost all my work from home as soon as my laptop is ready, hopefully tomorrow!!!!
Please share any thing fabulous that happened to you- we should celebrate more!
