Facial rash

Hello,

It's been awhile since I've been here.
I woukd appreciate any insight anyone may have with facial rashes. For awhile now, my husband has experienced a facial rash. GP thinks it might be the mercaptopurine. He also receives 6 weekly Infliximab which is now causing red eyes for about a week after the infusion

GP recommends ceasing mercaptopurine - dh clearly not keen on that suggestion.

The rash responds to steroid cream or anti biotics but quickly returns upon cessation of either.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar ?

See a dermatologist
Could be drug reaction /lupus /another autoimmune disease or just a rash ……
Gp can’t handle complex cases
And you need a derm who knows biologics
My kiddo had a rash so we saw a kiddo dermatologist (no biologic exp )
Told us it was dermatitis or eczema
Finally saw adult derm who diagnosed drug eruption.
Later Ds had fully blown anaphylactic reaction to remicade x2 .
So see a derm

Wow! That's scary

We are waiting on an appointment with a dermatologist. Hopefully they may be able to shed more light on it. Hopefully has some experience in this.
