Does anyone else get abdominal pain and nausea after eating no matter what you eat? The past couple days I can't eat without hurting. It doesn't seem to make a difference what I eat, I start having pain. I've gotten used to the nausea but it seems to be getting worse lately too. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to get nourishment without punishment. Thank you.

Not currently but yes I have experienced that in the past. Unfortunately if your gut is inflamed anything will aggravate it. Try a liquid diet or soft foods diet for a few days to see if you can give a break to your intestines.

You could have anything from gastritis to ulcers.
You may get temporary relief from an antacid but the wisest thing to do is get checked out by your doctor.
Bland foods like rice, milk if tolerated things like that to neutralise the acidity.
This is not something you should treat yourself but seek some medical attention.
Feel better soon

pretty much any time i eat, i hurt right at the left bottom of my ribs.. the only thing i can think of that i can eat without any pain is sushi. i find that smaller meals help too.

I used to get that all the time, pretty much every time I ate. I used to find applying a heat pack helpful as it seemed to relax the muscles. Softer foods and soups seemed to cause less pain. You could have ulcers or maybe some narrowing thats making it difficult for the food to pass through. I would report these symptoms to your doctor and see what they have to say about it. You may also find an anti-sickness like metoclopramide or an anti-spasmodic like buscopan helpful, they eased my symptoms a little, but arent a long term fix. I hope you get some relief soon!

I have this exact thing! It can be very frustrating when I am so hungry yet the pain is so bad. I have been diagnosed with duodenal gastritis (which they assume is due to the crohns) which apparently makes it harder for the food to pass, causing the pain.

If it continues on I would certainly mention it to your doctor, i just put it down to another Crohn's symptoms and it was only after i was admitted to hospital due to me vomiting every 5 min all day that the duodenitis was picked up, it had stopped food from leaving the stomach!
I have anti nausea medications now which can help settle down the nausea. And I am also on omeprazole. Buscopan also really helps relax the bowel as well!

Despite these I still have pain after I eat very frequently, I find eating food slower helps, chewing it properly and not having massive heavy meals helps. I stick to soups if it gets really bad as that doesn't irritate it as much!

Yep. I kept telling my doc that things felt different, that the Crohn's had moved from my large intestine. After three visits he scheduled an endo/colonoscopy from which I have just woken up. Literally. He gave my husband papers on duodenal gastritis, gastritis, hiatal hernia, and reflux. I have never had problems in these areas until the last few months. The doc is assuming Crohn's but we'll know more when the biopsies come back. Ain't no fun that's for certain.

Are you able to go to the bathroom ok?
There could be a stricture causing your pain. If the intestines are narrow it would be hard for the food to pass through and could cause pain

I have the same problem right now, anything which induce intestinal peristalsis hurts, even drinking water cause the cramping.
