Abdominal sinus any info?

Hey all I have a sinus on my abdomen ( not a fistula a one ended tract) I have had it from where an abcess presented itself before my colostomy surgery. Anyway I'd been packing it and covering it for months, anyhow very little was coming out of it so I stopped , hey ho feeling like shit from yesterday so went to doc and she reckons it's infected. She has put me on co amoxiclav and flagyl 3 times a day, anyone else ever have trouble with one? I know they're notoriously hard to heal, but wondered if there was any success stories out there. I think someone has mentioned something similar on the forum but I'm pretty sure they didn't call it that (had to look that up). Sorry that's about as far as that story goes cause I don't recall them mentioning if it healed or not.

I've had my surgical site heal from the inside out but that was 4 inches across not a tiny opening. I can see how that would be difficult to pack and repack without it getting much better. Mine took a little over a month to fully heal. Could they put some sort of drain tube in yours to try and help it heal?
