After 2-3 years of no periods it came back!

Had ablation several years ago due to heavy periods. Had no period at all for a couple years, then came back. When put on blood thinners due to a PE 2.5 years ago period stopped again. Blood test show I am NOT menopausal. Became SEVERELY anemic this winter (hemoglobin 4.6 with normal of 13) after which I was diagnosed with Crohn's (and a small ovarian cyst). After seven iron IVs I am finally up to 11.4 (so close to normal) and today I get my first period in 2.5 years.. scared I will go anemic again. Called GYN who scheduled me for first available appointment (Monday) to see why period returned.

anyway-- does this seemed related to the Crohns?

My goodness! I would think that the no periods would be from being so anemic. But, even though not having periods can be a nice thing, it'd be even better for you to talk to a doctor in order to get things taken care of. Best thing to do is be as healthy as you can (even if you are in a flare). Good luck with the upcoming appointment. Please keep us updated.
