Help Support Crohn's Disease Forum:

:welcome: to the forum! You have a had a long journey and you are lucky you have a Gi for a father! A wife for a nurse... she must be a comfort and support for you too. I have to say you made me laugh through your story, very funny at times and having a sense of humour is needed in this disease. I had my first resection earlier in my dx, then a second one 10 years later and now still been through all the meds and nothing works.

Please forgive my ignorance but not sure da UP is.. I was terrible in geography . I am glad you found your way here and nice to have an older generation join on too. Weclome aboard!

I think the UP means the upper peninsula of Michigan, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure about the people up there though....strange folk!:D

Hi Ahumado and :welcome:

I'm glad you are here too! Wow you have been dealing with this for a long time and how wonderful for you to have the support you do. I hope the surgery serves you well for a very long time to come. Good luck and welcome aboard!

All the very best, :)
Dusty

hi Ahumado - welcome to the forum :)

so - was it Crohn's or not?? sorry if i'm being dense but i read your intro twice and i can't see if there was a definite diagnosis.

really glad to hear that finally you got the surgery and are feeling better! i know what you mean about the thinking you were dying after surgery. our bodies are amazing sometimes, how they heal and those horrific days are thankfully nothing but a memory.

Welcome Ahumado!! I'm glad your surgery went so well for you and I hope you can keep it under control.

PS. What's Bifera??

My husband grew up in the Detroit area as well. He is 50. His parents currently live in Rogers City, which is way up there on Lake Huron. I enjoy visiting, but it takes us 8.5 hours to get there, so we don't do it as much as we would like.
