Allergic reactions to nearly every medication

My mom is a 50-year-old woman with Crohn's who has tried nearly every immunosuppressant to treat her condition, which has taken a tremendous toll on her body. The problem is that every medication she has ever tried leads to a severe allergic reaction (oftentimes anaphylactic shock) upon subsequent doses.

It isn't just immunosuppressants that cause allergic reactions. She is allergic to a long list of painkillers, which has made recovery from Crohn's-related surgery very uncomfortable. She seems to be allergic to anything that provides any hope of helping her feel better.

Has anyone else had this experience/have any advice for her? She is at the end of her rope and I think there HAS to be some explanation as to why she is allergic to so many treatment options.
