Allergic to 6mp

Well....my son was on 6mp, but not anymore...In another post I asked if anyone had any problem with vomitting like he did. Well, his problem just kept getting worse and worse. The nurse at the school told me to come and get him that he just wouldn't stop. I took him to the emergency room and after some testing, they said that it must be an allergic reaction.

He will have to stay off all meds except pentasa and previcid for 2 weeks then we have to go back to the doctors to dicuss some new meds. Two that she talked to me about are Methotrexate or Remicade.

What do you think??????

Well I was taking Imuran which is similar to 6 mp, and it caused me vomitting which turned out to be liver toxicity. My dose was lowered from 150 mg to 50 mg and things are OK now....

meth has some side effects, for some people they are quite strong, but its been one of the best drugs i've ever taken from Crohns.

there is a lot of testing the waters with every drug, you'll find the right one sooner or later/
