almost like crohn's
now, i may not have crohn's, but it falls into the same family of diseases. here's my story pulled from my blog.
The year was 2005. I was waking up from my bed like any normal day. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and sat on the shiny porcelain. I noticed something different this time that I’ve never discovered before. BLOOD. Lots of blood. I scratched my head and proceeded with my daily routine, telling myself it was probably just a tear from wiping too hard. Then a week went by, it got worse.
Black, tarry, thick-like mucus was the best way to describe my stool.
I went to a gastroenterologist to figure out the problem. After completing a colonoscopy, it was determined that I had Proctitis.
And then from there the usual sets in. You get a little bit depressed. But, all is good for now. I'm in remission.
