Aloe Vera

Has anyone tried Aloe juice or supplements? I've heard the aloe is soothing for internal inflamation in the intestines.

I haven't tried it myself, i have heard good things about it though. My sister had a big bottle of the juice a couple of months ago but I just couldn't bring myself to try it!

My mom (who doesn't believe in Crohn's disease) was convinced I would be cured if I drank aloe vera juice. I finally asked my doctor, and he said it would just give me diarrhea, which would not be helpful for Crohn's. Talk to your doctor and see if he says something similar. I never tried it.

I tried it a few years ago, it really gave me bad D. A few people on the forum have had success with it, but not many.

I was given a big bottle of it a while ago by my Mother who told me one of her friends had been "cured" of Crohn's disease after drinking it. It tasted disgusting, but I finished the whole bottle with no real affects positive or negative. When I was out buying some lunch today I noticed they sold Aloe Vera King, so I bought a bottle to go with my rice and chicken. It actually tasted pretty good, but rather sweet.

I tried the tablet form and it gave me D also. THat was cos i couldnt drink the juice version my mum begged me to try.
