So I've been in Kabul since October. Kabul is 6000 ft above sea level. I noticed my movements are a lot looser and it seems like I need to take more 6MP to even out. When I went home on R&R to Pittsburgh and Kansas City (2 different trips) I noticed my movements were a lot more solid and I needed less of my medication.

Anyone else notice a difference in altitude or maybe it's just the food over here is terrible.

I've never noticed a difference in altitude although I haven't spent more than a couple weeks that high up. My guess is it could be diet and stress related.

I'm thinking the food here is terrible. When I'm back on R&R I rarely eat a home cooked meal, I eat out at restaurants all the time. Plus I'm drinking a lot too.

I don't feel that stressed here, I work out every day, eat the right things for the most part. (I'm doing the eat right for your blood type).

I'm just going to chalk this up to terrible food here. It's all cafeteria nonsense that's overcooked and rubbish.

Ah well, I got 4 months to go and then I'm out of here :)

No definitely not. It's actually known around here at the "Kabul Crud". Usually it hits people the first week or so they're here.

It hit me so hard I couldn't leave my bed all day. Luckily after I've been working out, taking vitamins and supplements I've been doing alright and it hasn't come back.

This place is terrible. Not only is the food bad but we're close to the city so we get to breathe in the tire and trash burnings. Good times. lol

Blech, probably have to add environment on top of the list of possibilities causing your issues. :p

I find altitude to be of no problem (1500 -3300m skiing holiday) but as said if I drink a lot I do stuggle gut wise the next day

Thanks. Pretty sure I locked this down to the crap food I'm eating over here, lol. Ah well, little I can do about it.
