always bloated

Hey guys i'm on remcade at the moment just had the 1 infusion but feeling better still having toilet issues though.

My problem is this my gut looks like i'm pregnant i can assure you I'm not being a 29 year old male.

I constantly feel bloated I feel hungry and bloated at the same time like I can feel hunger and rumblings but at the same time feel full and bloated my GI has no idea why this is happening reckons more inflamation needs to go but I dunno I take a sip of water and feel bloated.

Hi BOZA, I have no idea what is causing your symptoms but, I too have this problem. I know that if I dare to eat anything when I feel like this, the feeling changes to PAIN! I just grit my teeth until the hunger pangs pass. Anyways, I'm sorry I couldn't be more help. but know you are not alone :)

This might sound strange, but whenever I get that bloated feeling I just eat some plain boiled rice. It often settles my stomach pains a little (eases the hunger pangs) and seems to ease the bloating a bit. It might not work for you, but it could be worth a try.

Bloating seems to be a challenge for GI docs in my experience. The only direct advice I have ever been given was to try Gas-X. At various times, I have found that not eating enough can cause it, sometimes starchy foods (rice especially), some veggies (beans), soda pop, sometimes dairy. I personally think much of it has to do with whatever you have for bowel bacteria, and what they like to consume and produce. There were some times that probiotics worked for me, but they don't seem to anymore. Other possible reason - strictures in the bowel can slow the transit of "stuff", giving it more time to ferment and produce gas.

Just my two cents worth - try keeping a food diary for a couple weeks, and you may find that there are some triggers for you.

One other food that gives me issues - poultry. Turkey and chicken can be real issues for me. Doesn't matter if they are homemade or from a restaurant...
